Tour 1: Loop Walking Tour

Departs from The Palmer House Hilton (Conference Hotel)

Cost: $45.00

Wednesday, March 17th  Time: 2:00pm – 5:00pm

 

Join a three-hour walking excursion to visit some of the impressive mosaic sites in Chicago's Loop. The tour stops will include Chagall's Four Seasons, Marshall Field's Tiffany domed ceiling (featured on the cover of the Fall issue of Groutline), the Marquette Building, and Roger Brown's Icarus and Daedalus among others. Local experts and specialists will guide the tour; participants will also receive an illustrated booklet containing information about numerous mosaic sites in and around the Chicago area. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the local weather.

 

 

Tour 2: Mosaic Tour of Neighborhood Icons

(Bus Tour)

Departs from The Palmer House Hilton (Conference Hotel)

Cost: $65.00

Thursday, March 18th Time: 1:00pm – 5:00pm

 

Local experts and specialists will guide a four-hour bus tour highlighting mosaic treasures in Chicago's neighborhood religious institutions. Some of the stops will include St. Paul's Church,

St. Michael's Church and St. Adelbert's Church. Participants will also receive an illustrated booklet containing information about the many mosaic sites in and around the Chicago area.

 

 

Tour 3: Tour of Chicago's Contemporary Mosaics

(Bus Tour)

Departs from The Palmer House Hilton (Conference Hotel)

Cost: $65.00

Sunday, March 21st  9:00am – 1:00pm

 

Join a four-hour bus excursion to visit contemporary mosaic sites in the Chicago area. Stops include the WaterWorks Benches at Navy Pier, bricolage at two north side underpasses on Lake Shore Drive, and several installations along the Chicago Transit Authority's elevated transportation Blue Line.
