Workshop Description
Learn a variety of mosaic techniques and practices in these fun and informative classes. Krystie Rose Millich, mosaic/mixed media artist and longtime educator, teaches many of the classes, along with other local mosaic artists and some visiting artists. Students are always fully supported in discovering their creative potential and learning skills and methods necessary to create mosaics in a variety of styles and settings. Beginner's courses include instruction on substrates/bases, adhesives, tesserae (or materials/tiles), grouts and grouting, and sealants. Beginning students also learn to cut and shape ceramic and glass vitreous tiles, use appropriate adhesive effectively, design and implement patterns/andamento, and complete an effective grouting process. All classes sizes are kept deliberately small so that each student has plenty of individual attention from instructors. Classes are filled on a first come, first serve basis and registration is completed securely and privately online via EventBrite and PayPal.

SAMA members who are enrolled at the Professional, Corporate, or Patron levels who wish to list their classes here can enter information in the Member Center on the “website forms” page.
